6 mth check-up

Dr Stanley gave Rowan a "two thumbs up" at his well visit this morning. Yay!!His ears were clear and he weighed 20 lbs and was 27.5 in. Pops said he was in the 90th percentile for ht and wt. and that he only needed 4 bottles a day and to start feeding baby food 3 times a day now. We are so happy we have such a healthy and sweet baby boy!!

Fever Scare

Yesterday when I got home from work, Rowan had a 104.4 temp and he was so lethargic and pitiful. That scared us to death, so I gave him some Motrin and a cool bath to get it down, which worked...thank God! We then spent over 2 hrs at the after hours clinic to get a different antibiotic (since the other wasn't working), and a shot. So far, no more fever, but we are keeping a close eye on our little man.

Latest Dr Update

We took Rowan to see Dr Stanley yesterday because he had been pulling on his left ear quite a bit over the last 2 wks. At the office, they weighed him at a whopping 19 pds 14 oz and we found out he does have a slight ear infection, so he is on antibiotics. Combine this with his two bottom teeth finally coming through and you get one fussy baby. He hasn't had a huge appetite lately either and won't hardly let us put him down because he just doesn't feel good. Dr Mom and Dad are taking good care of him though with lots of kisses and hugs, so he should be better soon!
